Data Deletion

Last updated: June 2026

The Haji Waris Ali Shah Foundation respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains exactly what we hold, how to request its deletion, and what may need to be kept for legal reasons.

1. What Data We Hold

The only personal data we hold is what you voluntarily submit through our contact form — your name, email address, subject, and message — plus standard server logs. We do not hold payment-card or bank details, and we do not track you with advertising cookies.

2. How to Request Deletion

To have your data removed, email us at info@warisalishah.org — ideally from the same email address you used — with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. Please include any details (such as the date or subject of your message) that help us locate your record.

3. Identity Verification

To protect your privacy, we may ask you to confirm your identity before we delete data — for example, by replying from the original email address. This prevents anyone else from requesting deletion of your information.

4. Processing Timeline

We will acknowledge your request promptly and permanently delete the associated records within 30 days, then confirm once it is done — unless we are legally required to retain certain information (see Clause 5).

5. What May Be Retained

Where a donation receipt or financial record is required by law for transparency, audit, or anti-money-laundering compliance — including under the Sindh Charities Act, 2019 and applicable financial regulations — we may retain the minimum necessary information even after a deletion request. All other personal data will be erased.

6. Third-Party Data

If your message reached us through an email service, deletion from our records will be completed as above; we do not share your contact-form data with advertisers or sell it to any third party.

7. Contact

For any questions about data deletion or your privacy, contact us at info@warisalishah.org or +92 308 2966680. See also our Privacy Policy.
